This Privacy Policy explains how North Shore BBQ LLC (“we”, “us”, or “North Shore BBQ”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or interact with our contact, reservation, careers, or ordering forms. Questions about this policy can be sent to northshoresmokedbbq@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you:
- Submit a contact message — your name, email address, phone number, subject, and message.
- Request a reservation — your name, email, phone, party size, requested date and time, and any notes you provide.
- Apply for a job — your name, email, phone, the position you applied for, your availability, experience summary, and any resume link you share.
- Place an online order (if available) — your name, email, phone, delivery / pickup details, and order contents. Card payment details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
We also receive a small amount of technical information automatically when you visit the site — your IP address, browser type, and device information — used for security (rate limiting, abuse prevention) and not used to identify you personally.
How we use your information
- To respond to your contact messages and applications.
- To confirm and manage reservations.
- To process and fulfill orders, including notifying you about order status.
- To protect our service from spam, fraud, and abuse — including applying CAPTCHA challenges and rate limits to form submissions.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and resolve disputes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising profiling or share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this website. Each one only receives the data it needs to perform its function:
- Google Firebase — hosts the data you submit (reservations, messages, applications, orders) and authenticates our admin users.
- Google reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare Turnstile — verify that submissions come from a real human browser, not a bot. Both providers see your IP address and limited browser metadata for the duration of the check.
- Vercel — hosts the website infrastructure and sees standard request metadata (URL, IP, user agent) in its access logs.
If you place a card order online, we additionally rely on a payment processor (Stripe, Square, or similar) to handle the transaction. Your card information goes directly to the processor and never touches our servers.
How long we keep your information
We retain form submissions (messages, reservations, applications, orders) for as long as we need them to operate the business and to comply with legal recordkeeping requirements. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing northshoresmokedbbq@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email northshoresmokedbbq@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time frame.
Children
Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “effective” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you (for example, with a banner on the site).
